Summer Art Camps at The Art League School in Alexandria

Registration is now open for our Summer Art Camps at The Art League School in Alexandria. They’re a popular, affordable series of day camps with a variety of fine art media for kids to choose from, like sculpture, cartooning, painting, and even clay animation.
The Art League is a nonprofit visual arts organization in Old Town Alexandria with a gallery, fine art school, art supply store, and arts outreach programs. Hundreds of kids come to the camps every summer, and The Art League School offers fine art classes for adults and children year-round. Here’s the basic information:
- Art Camps begin the week of June 17, 2013 and run weekly through August 23, 2013
- Camps are available for ages 5-15 and take place in the morning, afternoon, or all day (for Basic Art Camp)
- Subjects include: drawing, cartooning, painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, fiber arts, clay animation, and Basic Art Camp (a new medium each day)
- Camps range in price from $130 to $370
- When creating your own all-day session, there is an additional $35 per week charge for the supervised lunch hour. Campers in any all-day session should bring their own lunch for the midday break.
