Vanessa Trien, a Boston-based children’s songwriter and music educator, will take DC area audiences on a musical ride with her get-up-and-dance collection of original songs on Sunday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Jammin Java, 227 Maple Ave E, Vienna, VA.
Vanessa’s music mixes blues, pop, bluegrass, acoustic folk, country, 50′s rock ‘n’ roll and tropical sounds. A Boston-based singer-songwriter and children’s performer, Vanessa Trien has become a local rock star among the young and young at heart. The “Nessa Groupies” sing and dance in the aisles at her shows with her lively band the Jumping Monkeys, and can’t get enough of her three award-winning children’s CDs, Carnival Day, Hot Air Balloon and Bubble Ride. Vanessa also recently won five songwriting awards from the 2012 Mid Atlantic Song Contest.
